HISTORY



A motivated and disciplined Security Specialist with considerable experience gained in the Armed Forces and Private Sector Security Industry. Extensively trained in Close Protection with an in depth knowledge of, and proven track record in all aspects of risk assessment and threat avoidance. Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to assess situations and solve problems in testing environments, as part of a team or as an individual. Approaches all tasks with integrity, attention to detail and with the highest degree of workmanship. Possessing of a good sense of humour whilst maintaining a professional outlook at all times.

Here is a brief outline of roles carried out and where i have carried out my recent career -

Freelance Close Protection Officer (June 2007 - Current)
  • Provided Close Protection/Security Consultancy services internationally for numerous Security companies within the Private Security Industry. Proven experience and proficiency covering a broad spectrum of close protection work.
  • Roles have included Team Leader and 2IC on a variety of close protection details and corporate event tasks. Expediting sound team management and the initiation of risk management skills. Various operations have taken place in the UK and in a number of European countries with Foreign and domestic clients.
  • Clients have included individuals of known wealth from diverse cultures, media celebrities, high visibility entrepreneurs, Premiership Footballers, Premiership Football Clubs, and corporate clientele this work has enabled me to develop my own personal experience to date, streamline further knowledge and produce further client interface experience. Constantly under pressure to perform, facilitate planning and dynamic risk assessment. These tasks were conducted in the UK and Europe.
  • A low profile detail has been requisite for many of these operations, I have experience in delivering both overt and covert security services for high profile and 'at risk' individuals, groups and assets.
Most recent assignments have included:
  • Assignment in Sardinia working as part of a team providing protection to a high profile businessman and his family, integrating into their family lifestyle ensuring they could maintain their natural day to day routine whilst providing a discrete protective service.
  • Being the security driver for the high profile manager of a Premium Brand Premiership football club and travelling overseas to provide security as part of the clubs Champions League campaign.
  • Team leader of a 3 man team for the AGM of a large software company.
  • Numerous European assignments acting as the SAP (Security Advance Party) for high profile public figure.
  • Residential security tasks for a high profile premiership footballer and similar team RST taskings at the home of a well known high profile figure.
  • Various Overseas trips where I headed security and helped facilitate the movements for a Top International Pop Band on trips to Eastern Europe.
  • Providing Close Protection to a high profile well known public figure whilst visiting London.
  • Close Protection tasking working as part of a large CP team providing protection for an overseas family during their stay in the UK.
  • Advance work carrying out the role of an SAP to gain and feedback as much information as necessary prior to the Principal turning up in company.
Armor Group Afghanistan March 2006 – June 2007 (FCO/SOCA)
Employed as a PSD team member within Armor Group in Kandahar and Lashkar Gah. Contracted to provide the Close Protection and the safe escort of Diplomats from the British Embassy, Foreign and Commonwealth Office and members of the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA). Other tasks involved the facilitating of moves and Protection of Operatives from the Government Communication Headquarters (GCHQ) on important tasks throughout Kandahar City as well as the collating, and delivering of intelligence reports gathered from various sources, watch keeping, working with and providing training to Local Nationals and Ghurkha’s as a Guard Supervisor responsible for maintaining security at a Safe House within Kandahar - City.

Armor Group Iraq Nov 2005 – March 2006 (ECC Contract)
Employed as a PSD/Mobile team member within Armor Group based at Camp Buckmaster, Tikrit. Duties involved providing security and the safe escort of contract personnel from the client ECC working for the US Army Corps of Engineers whom are involved with UXO cleanup throughout Iraq. Employed in numerous positions within the team such as driver, rear gunner and vehicle commander. Other tasks involved working with local nationals as a guard supervisor responsible for maintaining security and co-operation with clients around Ammunition Supply Point Buckmaster.

HM Forces - 2nd Battalion Parachute Regiment July 1997- Nov 2005 (CPL/Paratrooper)
A fulfilling and enjoyable career spanning 8 and a half years where much was gained and achieved, this would include gaining Operational Experience in many hostile environments such as Northern Ireland, Sierra Leone, Macedonia and Afghanistan. Employed in all aspects of a Machine Gun platoon, including operating and instructing on medium and heavy machine guns and mobile weapons platforms. During my final two years I was selected for the prestigious and influential position of a Cpl Instructor at the Infantry Training Centre, a challenging role which developed skills such as Lesson Planning, Risk Assessment, Mentoring and delivering quality training to recruits.


OPERATIONAL TOURS


2002/03 – Northern Ireland - Deployed to Northern Ireland as a Team Commander in South Armagh, one of my other roles was to help with the running of the stores and issuing of kit.

2001 – Afghanistan - Deployed to Afghanistan as a 2IC/Team Commander as a member of the International security and assistance force (ISAF), on a peace enforcement mission following the downfall of the Taliban regime. Tasks included mobile and foot patrols, base security quick reaction force, escorts and enforcing a curfew.

2001 – Macedonia - Deployed to Macedonia as a 2IC/Team Commander as part of Task force harvest (TFH) to provide security for weapon collection to be carried out from non-government forces throughout the country.

2000 - Sierra Leone - Deployed to Sierra Leone attached to 1 Para battle group as part of a services assisted evacuation of British nationals from Freetown and to provide a deterrent against The Revolutionary United Front (RUF) from attempting to take the capital.

1998/99 – Northern Ireland - Deployed as a member of a four man team which made up a twelve man multiple tasked with patrolling hard line republican areas on foot, base security, providing a quick reaction force and the manning of an overt observation tower.
